Nardo T. Pineda
Nardo graduated cum laude in B.S. Economics from Polytechnic University of the Philippines and earned credits for an MBA degree from Angeles University.
The biggest challenge he has experienced in his professional career was the unexpected eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in 1991 which destroyed his factory and stocks of various furniture shortly before shipment to his overseas buyers. It was not very easy to see his 200 workers lose their jobs, and he, to rise up and accept other professional challenges afterwards, but he faced it all. Prior to engaging in the export business, he worked as a Grains Stock Operations Manager at the National Food Authority.
Nardo’s current passion is farming. He is Managing Partner of Thanks Nature Integrated Farm in Lanang, Candaba, a 10 hectare farm he wants to become a showcase as a Learning Farm. His being an organic farming practitioner for more than ten (10) years comes handy. He is an Organic Agriculture Production-accredited trainer of TESDA. He is also a TESDA-accredited organic agriculture production practitioner and has been awarded TESDA certificates for his various trainings in Agriculture Crop Production, Agro-Entrepreneurship, and Teaching Method Competency.
His passion for organic farming and expertise in different areas of agricultural practices continually helps different farmers and owners grow their farms in a more effective, efficient and environmental-friendly way.
