Emilio S. Miranda

Emil, short of revealing that he had a B.S degree in Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology, was mum about what he has accomplished in life, and needed a lot of prodding to reveal a little more about himself.

Emil, the private person, worked with a cousin for more than 10 years at Triseal Corp. in Manila, a machinery supplier to major factories/companies, starting as Collector and Distributor. His responsibilities included close coordination with their Singapore supplier, with Emil travelling to and from there for business. Before he left the company, he was already the General Manager for Sales, supervising 30 sales people. Back to Cabalantian, he continued his career in sales, and was Area Manager for Daikin Air Conditioners for around 5 years, where fate led him to meet another relative, the owners of Pampanga’s Best, Inc., who were then involved in other businesses including Hyundai Pampanga and Mitsubishi Motors. The owners’ full trust in Emil made him to decide to make Pampanga’s Best his final career. From among several interested distributors for Angeles, he was the one chosen.

Emil has quietly given back the many blessings he has received, including being active in IBACA (Ing Bayung Cabalantian Asso.), a Foundation set up then by Pampanga’s Best to help Cabalantian residents affected by lahar when Mt. Pinatubo erupted. Every Sunday was a special day of giving, when rice, hotdogs and tocino are distributed to the affected residents. This later became Sunday prayer meetings, to not only to satisfy hunger of the stomach, but of the spirit, as well.

Emil has stopped celebrating his birthdays, with the traditional feasts prepared for colleagues in business. He found better satisfaction in working closely with priests he is most acquainted with, giving treats,  instead, to children in their parishes. He brought not only food, but even Jollibee, the mascot, to the joy and laughter of the kids. That, for Emil, is happiness!
